#Load moment indication
Load Moment Indication (LMI) accounts for both the weight of the boom and the load being lifted by the machine. It uses pressure sensors in hydraulic cranes to measure load and force sensors in lattice cranes to gauge the load. The system calculates the load moment by considering the boom's weight. An LMI system employs load pins to measure the boom's force and displays both the current and permissible load moments. While it provides a graphical indication of how close you are to exceeding the crane’s capacity and approaching overload, it does not provide the exact weight of the load.
