The APEX SAI 33-W3 stand-alone indicator (APEX SAI system) is a versatile and adaptable system designed to enhance operations. An Intuitive, User-Friendly Display
The APEX SAI features a graphic display that indicates the status of the anti-two block switch(es) and the wind speed sensor, enabling more efficient operations. The display also indicates the battery status of each connected sensor, keeping operators informed if a battery replacement may be necessary.
Utilizing the user-friendly buttons, navigation through the system is simple. These buttons allow the operator to easily access the system’s menus and settings. The bypass button on the left side of the display allows you to temporarily override the system if necessary.
Wireless Sensor Options
The APEX SAI system features two sensor options -- an anti-two block switch and wind speed sensor. The anti-two block switch detects when the hoist limit is reached and features a maintenance-free design, and offers fast response time. This switch can be easily mounted on the boom nose or jib extension using the included mounting hardware. Another sensor option is the wind speed sensor, which measures the current wind velocity in either miles per hour or meters per second. If the wind speed exceeds a predetermined limit, the system will trigger an audible alarm. This sensor is usually mounted at the tip of the boom.
